Followings are the summary of pledges by major or carbon emitter.
Mostly industrialised nations:
  • US has said they will cut off carbon emissions by 17% from 2005 to 2020, 30 percent by 2025, 42 percent by the 2030 and 83 by 2050.
  • EU says it will makes offer of unilatierally cutting the carbon emission to 1990's level, and 30 percent cut off if other industrialised parties follows the suits.
  • Japan will cut off 25 percent of carbon by 2020 as compared to the 1990 level, provided there's a highly ambitious accord with the participations by all of major countries.
  • Canada offers the reduction by 20 percent of carbon emission by 2020 as compared to 2006, equivalent to the falls of 3 percent comparing to 1990 benchmark.
Developeing nations:
  • Brazil says they will reduce the percentage of carbon emission by 36 to 39 percent by 2020 mainly by tackling the deforestation in Amazone, as compared to the forecast levels of emission in 2020.
  • India haven't made any kinds of cut off announcement but say they are taking actions for reducing the carbon emission & cut off the carbon emission in broadly indicative numbers.India have argues that they have very low per capita emission & legally cuts have to be done by the rich countries alonely.
